Teamwork Art Project

Harvey Dunn artists in grades 2-5 started the school year by collaborating on a large-scale pixel art mural. We created paper chains using a color code where each loop in the chain represented a "pixel" in the design. Students were told that if everyone worked together and followed their color code, a secret message would gradually appear. Each day, a new letter in the message was revealed (but not necessarily in the correct order). Kids had fun trying to decode the message. In the end they discovered that the secret message was TEAMWORK! This was a great lesson to reinforce the message that, "Teamwork makes the dream work!"
